Importance of water chemistry
Last Updated: 08/04/2010
Your pool or spa water has many chemical compounds suspended in the water, some good, some bad, some that are only bad in excess.
Imbalances in the water can cause scaling or staining of the pool surface.
Aggressive water can damage rubber gaskets, the pool surface and metal hardware.
Excessive stabilizer makes the sanitizer less effective causing algae outbreaks.
Not enough, or ineffective sanitizer allows for bacteria and virus growth in the pool water.
